MANA!!! WOW....=)
The day had finally arrived (Friday August 31)....Mana was in town and I was going to rock out. For those that don't know Mana is a latin rock group. They are a great group and have been around for awhile. We were getting FREE tickets from a gentleman that Josh knows. I had been so excited; we had been told that we were getting AWESOME seats and possibly going to meet the band. Throughout the day Josh had been getting information on where we were going to meet up to get the tickets etc. He was keeping me posted throughout the day and everytime he told me something different, I was getting nervous that we were not going to have tickets. During that week, my girl Maggie won 2 box seat tickets from work. Our work owns box seats at the AT&T center. Everytime a concert is in town they give away the tickets in a drawing. So she was all excited; She enjoys them as much as I do. Well we were off to the concert. Maggie called that her and Jon (her husband) were already there. So as Josh and I arrived, we went to Will Call to pick up the tickets. As we opened the envelope, the tickets read "balcony." I think my heart broken into a million pieces, I was so disappointed. Josh was shocked as well. I just felt like leaving. We were promised great seats and then to see these tickets......I could have purchased closer tickets. Well I call Maggie and give her the bad news, she is shocked and felt so bad for me. As we meet up with them inside her husband offers his box seat and insist that I take it. He said that Maggie and I were bigger fans than Josh and him. So we traded tickets; I was so HYPED but at the same time felt bad. After explaining to Maggie what had happened I let it go and decided to have FUN!! Our seats were about 50 feet away from the stage!!Well they came on around 9 and played till 11!! No opening act just them. I so love the drummer Alex. He is so talented and can sing so well. I was air guitaring and playing the drums, dancing, jumping....man we rocked out!! I so my girl get down from time to time as well. That was the best concert I had been to in my whole life! Can't wait till they come back. Untill Mana returns Live, Laugh, and Love.
Def Leopard....and not for the easily offended
Well it's been a bit, schedule has been a bit crazy. Well this past Thursday I went to my 2nd Def Leopard concert. Opening acts were Foreigner and Styx. Well as we arrived it seems that all the people that has been stuck in the 80's came out. With their feathered, moult haircuts; I thought to myself where the heck do these people live. As we arrived, Foreigner was playing. I was disappointed with their performance. It was so disorganized, could not understand what they were saying. Styx came on and the music was balanced and it sounded good. I started to laugh because a girl 3 seats from me was just jamming her heart out. I was encouraging her, and she would get more into it. Then of course our luck a "big" couple arrives and they are the ones that are to sit next me. When the man sits down his thigh was on my seat!!! I think GREAT!?!? Josh suggested I move to the other side of him and if someone arrived I would have to move back. So I did and that helped. As the sun went down and styx continued to play, it became HUMID. If you evened moved sweat started to appear on your face, body, etc. I wore pants (bad idea), a t-shirt....so needless to say I was hot and so uncomfortable. As I look around man these people are die hard fans, I thought that is going to be me tomorrow night. (Mana concert, latin rock group). Well Def Leopard comes on,...WOW they look great and sounds awesome. they played many oldies and it made me think about when I was growing up. One of the guitar players (with the curly hair) Man he could jam out and he looked good...from the neck down. ABS WERE PERFECT!! Well we jammed out and I left all sweating for moving around. But Josh and I had a great time! =) Until next time Live, Laugh, and ROCK!

Yes I am ALIVE.....
Well some of you might be wondering…..what the heck happened to Liz?! Well sorry I am behind, but I got sick in CA. Yep “lucky” me! So I will pick up and explain it all…enjoy!
Well Thursday morning I wake up to my throat hurting a little. I thought to myself it’s probably allergies. So I get ready, we (Josh and I) head off to Hollywood. But when we get there I am thinking HOLLYHOOD. Wow it is not like the movies or TV shows. Especially when that view on the introduction to the HILLS comes on. They must have got that shot on a clear day after it rained a couple of days before. It was smoggy, dirty, CROWDED, and so many tourist. So we get to the Hollywood walk of fame; we park in a parking garage that is inside a mall. As we went in we saw the entrance to the Kodak Theater. We go out and viewed the stars. Of course I mapped at one particular star……Harrison Ford. Love him! So I took my picture beside it. We saw Matt Damon’s, Michelle Phiefer’s, Destiny Child, Jay Leno, and many others. Then we walked down a ways and saw the Grauman’s Chinese Theater. This is where the celebrities put there hand prints and foot prints. Of course I found Harrison’s!!! As we walked down the street many people were trying to get us to take these bootleg copies of movies, and burned CD’s. I just kept walking. Then we saw all kinds of people dressed up as different characters: Cat in the Hat (ghetto style), Tigger (looked like the tiger from the cereal box Tony the tiger), The Flash (do we even remember the movie), and Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean. By this time I felt HOT, and I was not feeling well. I told Josh I think I have a fever. He touches my head and says your fine. So we walked and grabbed a bit to eat and then I asked that he take me back to his dad’s house. We needed to get ready to go and eat with him and his girlfriend anyhow. So no Roedo Drive Shopping =( So I thought I will rest it off. Well I felt worse and worse. So we stopped by a Walgreens type store called Rite Aid and I purchased: Throat lounges, digital thermometer, & vitamin C. Well when I took my temp it was 101.5. Yep I had a fever. So I rested and I decided I wanted to go eat dinner. I took some aspirin and off we went to meet the girlfriend MaryAnn. We drove over to Long Beach to eat at the Cheesecake Factory beside the Marina. She was very nice and pretty and I was glad to meet her. It was a nice dinner and I made it through with a temp of 102.9! So the next morning I got up and called my insurance and got information on the closest urgent clinic.
Friday- My throat is on FIRE!! It feels like an open wound and it hurts to swallow my own spit *not trying to be gross* I was in pain. We found the clinic. It looked nice and clean. So I filled out the paper work, and when it was my turn to see the doctor I was shocked, I had to take a double take……I thought it was Cornel Sanders (KFC). The old man come over and looked into my ears and throat and said oohh looks like your throat is really red. I felt like telling Naaaaaaawwwwww.Duh! So I thought he would do a swab test. He didn’t, he gave me a prescription and I was on my way to WALGREENS!! Yes!!! Relief =) So I rested that afternoon and felt a little better, no more fever, just the throat. We then made plans to meet an aunt & uncle (Josh’s) at a Casino in Palm Springs. We ate, laughed, and played our luck. I went up and down between 20-30 dollars. So did Josh, but his aunt won 1400.00 in 30mins. Dang I should have seen what she was playing. We then left to go home and rest.
Saturday- Josh and I went shopping at a local mall. It was nice to walk around and check things out. We made plans later that evening to go and eat at the family’s house. Some nice cousins: Vanessa & Monica (twins) made us dinner and talked about their trip to Spain. We had a good time laughing and catching up.
Sunday- My throat is feeling better but still hurts. We decided to go to Universal Studios. We had pre paid for our tickets. We had a good time there. It was pretty neat to see the sets & studios. Will Smith was actually filming his new movie John Hitchcock. Of course some of the attractions were cheesy, but it was fun to see. The new mummy roller coaster had me screaming. It was in the dark! Too fun =)
Monday- We did a little more shopping and then came home.
So we had a great time….until my next adventure Live, Laugh and LOVE!

Safari and Metrosexual....
SAN DIEGO ZOO. Well that was the adventure planned for today. We woke up and my father in law made us breakfast. Eggs & Potatoes...yummy! Of course a joke of the day was this pair of salt and pepper shakers my father in law had on his table. Of two little people hugging. (I will post the pic later) But very cheesy. When confronted he screams"My girlfriend gave them to me." SURE. Then we all left to San Diego about 11AM. It takes about 1 hour and 25 mins to get there. Drivers in CA very AGRESSIVE. Wow like if we were in the Dayton 500. Except you have to watch out for the 18 wheelers cause they win hands down. Well we arrived at the San Diego Zoo, which is located north of their downtown. We we walked the WHOLE PARK. Probably about a good 5 miles maybe more.....The nice thing is they had this skytrain, which was nice and had a great view. Well my father in law thought it would be funny to rock that little basket back in forth. Hmmm not funny. I was thinking what if the cable breaks and we fall, that would be mine luck. I had to tell him to chill and he was cracking up cause he loves finding things to get under our skin. So then while walking in the heat, my father in law decides to push us from behind to make us go faster. Ok so by now I am alittle tired, HUNGRY, and irrated with the sun...so not so funny. Well I wanted a snack so of course we end up paying $10.23 for 2 prezetels and a bottle water. These parks so take advantage of vunerability. So I ate it cause I was HUNGRY, of course Josh is like what kind of pretezel is this. It was very dry, and no favor but what can you do. So we saw alot of sleeping animals and different kinds of people from all over the world. I think watching the people were more entertaining. Just kidding, it was nice. Lots of trees and a nice Breeze picked up. So then we left around 4PM to head off to the SAFARI zoo. By this point I had not had a GOOD meal and I was getting crabby. For those who know me I need to eat. Well we were driving and Josh was really trying to make it there and not stop in the traffic that was starting. I pleaded please just pull off and they find something. We checked out GPS system and IHOP was less than a mile. I was like let's go!! Well then I saw to the right a BOSTON MARKET. I yelled with joy and excitement "ooohhh Boston Market, let's eat there please!!!" So we did and it was good....either that or I was really hungry. Well then we arrive at the Safari it was located in the valley. We got to the safari zoo. It was pretty empty so that was nice. We went and got on the safari tour. That was so pretty. In between hills (mountains) and looking at animals located from Africa. We did about another hour and decided to leave. It was getting dark and the pictures were not coming out right. On the way home an interesting topic came up, Metrosexual. I was teasing my father in law and said that he was in that category(which he is so not) But he got all concerned and started to get paranoid and ask how? We laughed so hard my stomach is sore. So what is considered a Metrosexual? The world may never get that straight. So from smells to laughs it was another day in CA. Sorry I shoved everything so fast, but I am tired. Going to bed and tomorrow is Hollywood. Maybe me and Paris can go buy a dog, or Lindsey and I can share a drink. I'll let you know who I go harass as a crazy fan tomorrow. Untill then Live, Laugh, and Love!

WHY ME??..........
Well I have been convinced to enter into the world of "blogging." I guess since I have been told that I always seem to have something to say, why not?! Many have heard me say "I am gonna write a book." I won't go into detail right now on what type, you'll have to come back to find out. For those that know you are shaking your heads laughing. Some of you know my husband Josh. He is famous for his blog spot http://www.8equalsd.blogspot.com/. Check it out if you haven't already. Well let's BEGIN! My husband and I have decided to go to California to visit my father in law. All I have to say is "Starbucks we are not in Texas any more." WOW, the world outside Texas is very strange to put in a nice way. (Let's see how long that last, right?) Well our first flight was pretty good. Josh had a boarding pass A15 (Southwest airlines), of course I ended up with B41 because I was randomly selected to check in at the front. What a way to start off. So now Southwest airlines has this "time saving" boarding system. I think it was a waste of time and money. They paid for new little sections and flat screens in the boarding area. So the concept was to look at the screen, of course A was first. Then you proceed to go to the section of the pole with the your group of numbers. (matching to your ticket)It kind of reminded me of cattle, that is San Antonio for you….TEXAS theme. Well for those that have flown Southwest you know that it is usually A, B, or C. Well now they added numbers. Hmmm yep like some have thought, this confused the heck out of the people. They didn’t listen to the announcement, and I saw the same confusion and frustration as the old boarding system...if not even worse. WOW they are so smart. Anyhow we had a little one crying towards the end of the flight. It would not be a flight without one. So our first stop is in Phoenix, AZ. Well Josh and I were getting hungry. It was 7:15 central time for our tummies. (5:15 AZ time) so went to make sure where our gate was and then scope the airport for food. We had 1 hour and 45 minutes to chill, and eat. So we decided to go to this Bar and Grill called Brawer's. Well immediately as we are seated the waiter greets us and then ask to see our ID. Well this of course made us feel like we look pretty young. HA, then I turn and see a sign that says "We ID all guest." There went that special feeling. So we ordered a club sandwich. It was ok…my homemade chips were YUCK. So then our waiter J.R. goes and takes an order next to us, and I so happen to notice that the guy didn't card them. Hmmm wonder why, but I will keep my comments to myself, and just add them to my book. So then we finish eating and proceed to the gate to wait for our flight. While walking no one walks on the right hand side and looks at us like MOVE. I am just annoyed at this point.Of course I am one to look around and check out the environment. Well of course here is this "African American" with his pants so low….a shirt that is like XXL for a small size body. I just thought why? What is the purpose,…I wonder do they want attention. Who knows? So then we get on our finally flight; A very short flight 45 minutes to Ontario, CA. When we get on the plane, we sit down and actually have a NICE person sit next to us. She asked nicely if she could have the sit beside me. Made sure the air blowing wasn't bothering me. I had to ask "Excuse if you don't mind me asking where are you from?" Josh is hiding his face and hitting me, like to stop. She responded CALIFORNIA. Wow so there are nice people in CA!! Anyhow we get to CA and get our rental car. We got an upgrade from a economical car to an SUV! Super cool. It's a Nissan Murano. My father in law meet us at the rental car place. It was good to see him. He is so nice and has a big heart! We followed him home. He lives in a retired community. It's NICE!! It has security, center, workout facility, and much more. He is living it up. His place is two bedrooms but nice. So then by this time it is after 9 (CA time, 11PM TX) I am dragging. I usually get up around 5AM to go to the gym with my girl Maggie ,shout out! Miss ya girl! Well he was hungry so we went and took him to IN N OUT burger. I had a bite and those burgers are sinfully good. That place was packed and kept getting busier, and it's only TUESDAY. Well it's 1:45 TX time and that makes it almost midnight here. We plan to go to the zoo in San Diego tomorrow.
I can't make any promises but I will try to keep you posted on the next adventure! Pictures will probably not be posted till I get back. But till then I just wanted to say hi to everyone that I sent this link to.
Live Laugh and LOVE!!
